Who this pathway is for

Why a non-clinical route exists

Digital clinical safety needs more than clinical judgement — it needs people who understand systems, risk, integration and governance. Many of the most effective Clinical Safety Coordinators and Safety Engineers come from IT, quality, or risk management backgrounds rather than clinical practice. The Safety Engineer Pathway gives that route structure and credibility, built by practitioners who have shaped these roles at a national level.

How it fits with our other training

The pathway draws on the same foundations as our Part 1 and Part 2 clinical risk management courses, sequenced and supplemented for professionals building this expertise from a non-clinical starting point.
